Anti Snoring Mouthpiece

Anti-snoring mouthpieces (mandibular advancement splints) have proven to be effective from a wide range of snorers, mild to people experiencing obstructive sleep apnea. These are small, plastic devices worn inside your mouth that keeps your throat tissues from vibrating too much and collapsing. This is possible because these mouthpieces are designed to bring your lower jaw a little bit forward; some are also made to prevent your tongue from rolling back into your throat.

There are concerns that you cannot wear this type of anti-snoring device if you have dental implants. This issue is easily resolved when you consult a specific product to your dentist and they will likely recommend one that will fit your needs. This kind of mouthpiece is modeled and custom made.

When purchasing this item, you might want to take a look at a “boil and bite” type of mouthpiece if you cannot afford those custom made ones. The mouthpiece is typically boiled and then you put it into your mouth enabling you to mold it, however they generally don’t work quite as well.

Some of these anti-snoring mouthpieces are mostly prescribed by dentists. You might want to consult your dentist of any side-effects you will encounter in using these.  Also keep in mind that you have to wear the anti snoring mouthpiece in your mouth all night long which can become annoying.
